Middle school is a key phase of the journey through the education system, and may be especially critical for young black male students. This is the first in a series of documentaries we produced for ETS and the Children’s Defense Fund for their annual conferences on the achievement gap. We also produced films on the high school years and college experiences of this important population, and are currently in production for a final summary film.
